Meet Lydia!
Hi everyone! My name is Lydia Premo, one of the Trainers and Camp Counselors here at Charlie’s Canine Camp. At a very young age I knew my path in life would be helping animals. The start of my passion came from watching the hit television show ‘PitBulls and Parolees;’ agreeing with their outlook on giving underdogs a second chance in life. I have also done several years of research on every dog breed and their own personalities, temperaments, and characteristics.
I started dog training in 2020, while still in high school and during the summers I would host group training classes and private lessons. Gaining years of hands-on experience, I have learned how to adjust my training styles to fit the parent & dog needs. In 2022, while working with a shelter dog, I found a real passion for behavioral modification. Since then, I have gained more knowledge in basic obedience, intermediate training, one-on-on, fear/aggression issues and behavioral modification. I’m continuing my education to become a certified AKC Evaluator.
Currently, I am a dog mom to my German Shepherd, Zuko. He enjoyes training, going on hikes with me, and playing with his favorite toys. He and I are currently training for bitesports and are hoping to compete it next year. I also own 2 hamsters named Ice King and Sakura who both love running on their wheels and playing when the sun goes down. Recently, I just adopted a bearded dragon, Drago, who loves his crickets and his veggies.
