Meet Amber!
Hello! My name is Amber and I am a Camp Counselor here at Charlie’s Canine Camp! Since childhood, I have always felt a deep connection with animals. I grew up taming feral kittens in my grandmother’s backyard and pet sitting for my neighbors. I’ve always known I wanted a career that involved spending time with furry friends every day.
My priority is keeping your pets safe, healthy and comfortable during their stay. All pets have different personalities and different needs just like people do. I’m able to recognize and accommodate those needs. I plan to care for your pets as if they were my own.
My love and compassion for animals has led me to adopting and rescuing multiple animals over the years. At this time I am a Fur Mom to 7 furbabies. I have three pitbulls Ranger, Kevin and Champ. All different ages, adopted at different times and from different shelters. Ranger is a cuddly sweetheart, Kevin is a mama’s boy and a nervous nellie and Champ is a sleepy 13 year old man with vision and hearing loss that I adopted just last year. They all enjoy being couch potatoes but definitely never say no to a car ride or a walk down by the lake. I also have four cats Aria, Giddeon, Sam and Winnie. Aria and Giddeon are siblings from the same litter, Sam is a rescue I saved 11 years ago and Winnie came as stray with a nonfunctional front leg but she definitely doesn’t let that slow her down. I have a big heart especially when it comes to animals who are sick, injured or simply need a second chance…or in Ranger’s case, a 3rd chance. I’m a big homebody because I love being with my furbabies but if I am out and about I’m usually at a paint class or spending time with friends and family.
