Dog Training & Educational Seminars for the Community
Charlie’s Canine Camp offers basic and intermediate dog obedience group classes as well as private lessons on the weekends and evenings with our certified trainers.
We keep training group class sizes small to give more individualized attention to you and your dog during your learning process. Classes are 5 weeks long with a maximum of 5 dogs per class. We keep it light and fun to make learning enjoyable for all. You can also opt for training for your dog while they stay with us. They will receive multiple 15 minute increment one-on-one sessions throughout the day while they are boarding at our facility. If you are interested in this add-on please let us know upon booking your appointment.
Basic Dog Obedience Course
In our basic obedience course, we will learn on-leash commands such as:
- Sit
- Lay down
- Stay
- Come
- Loose-leash walking
Intermediate Obedience Course
In our intermediate obedience course, we will work on more off-leash commands, such as:
- Leave-it
- Heel
- Come
- Place
- And fun tricks (around, weave, roll over, etc)
For The Puppies
For our puppies that aren’t quite ready to play with the big dogs yet, we offer puppy socialization classes so your little fur babies can play with dogs their own age and size. Puppies don’t quite understand adult canine communication, so in order for them to build their confidence, it is best to keep them with dogs their own age without the harsh correction of an older, larger dog. This way your dog can learn how to properly and safely socialize with other dogs.
Educational Classes
Charlie’s also conducts educational pet training seminars throughout the year on varying subjects such as:

- ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting a Puppy’
